All such items must have prior approval and should be a part of your Special Event Permit request.
You may have a food truck at your event. The food truck must obtain a food truck permit with the City of Fishers Community Development Department. The only time a food truck would not require a permit is in the event of the food truck being use for catering purposes. For example, a business is having an employee appreciation day and is paying for all of the food for its employees where individual transactions do not take place between an employee and the food truck, no permit would be required.
This permit is issued through the State of Indiana Department of Homeland Security. Visit the State of Indiana Department of Homeland Security Website for more information.
If approved, Fishers may allow canopies and tents; however stakes are not allowed due to the multiple underground utilities. However, water barrels, bricks, and other forms of weight are permitted for use.
You may contact the city's Fire and Emergency Services Department at 317-595-3200 for more information.
