Class dates: September 30 through October 14, October 28 through November 11, or December 2 through 16
In Maker Playground's Think Tank you'll find 3 different Ultimaker 3D printers. 3D printing is an additive form of manufacturing, using a layering printing process to distribute material (filament) onto a printing bed. The end result is a 3D model of a design, or print, to be used as a tool, replacement part, model, or household décor!
This class is designed to teach you the basics of 3D printing while you design and build your own simple and complex prints using our Ultimaker 3D printers. No membership is required to take the class, all materials are included in the registration fee. This class series will meet once a week for 3 weeks to cover the basics of 3D printing. Tentative class curriculum is as follows:
What is 3D Printing? What are Common 3D Printing Tools?
Basic CAD/Design software tools
Searching for files online, building simple and complex prints.
